I asked, and you answered - Event Survey 2022

I asked, and 17 of you answered. Thank you to all that took 3 minutes out of your day to help me plan the events you are most eager to join. Of course, I am not keeping the results to myself! I am sure you are just as excited to find out what events are most popular and what will be planned moving forwards.

Starting off with question 1 - What events?

I am surprised to see many activities related more to group interactions and fewer in the guided category. This is unexpected, considering my focus in the past has been more towards action events requiring experienced guides. I will take this into consideration for future events.

Next, we will look at suitable event lengths

I am sad, but not surprised to see that not many of you are looking for a complete event week. On the other hand, I am happy to see a large number of people willing to take Friday off for the right event! Some activities are only possible during the week, and for others, it is a huge advantage to hold them during the week when fewer people are present.

Let us have a look how you liked some of the event suggestions

The classic Avalanche training plus alpine Ski tour received most Likes and lest dislikes. It seems like a given that we have to organize an event like it. The rest is a mixed bag, although I am suprised to see that the Thursday to Sunday event received the second most votes, especially considering the previous question. It may have to do with the social aspect, as two days without guide are included.

Lastly, I asked for your preference to have a guide

The results do not surprise me very much. Maybe the fact that some people feel comfortable ice climbing without a guide. But that may be the alumni from our previous ice climbing courses and that makes me proud!

So what events are coming up?

Considering the feedback, I will attempt to organize a weekend with an avalanche training and beginners alpine ski tour. When and how that will happen is subject to the availability of our guide and some further planning. If you left your email in the survey then you will be notified first. COVID STATEMENT

I suffer from diabetes and have close relatives at high risk. For my personal safety and the safety of my relatives, proof of vaccination is required to attend events until further notice.
